Located on the threshold between the public Inner Harbor and several industrial sites, the Baltimore Hydrology Institute explores the relationship between natural and industrial means of cleaning and restoring the Chesapeake Bay’s marine ecology.

The B.H.I. reinterprets the forms of old waterfront warehouses using a natural language that speaks to the Institution’s efforts to renew the Bay area to a productive environmental state.
