Submitted to Architects Without Borders 2015 Design competition, this design seeks to seamlessly integrate homeless housing into dense urban centers.

Our modern urban ecological systems often push affordable and public housing to the fringes of urban centers. Alternatives can be designed to integrate those who have been economically left out of society back into mixed urban centers.

Modular housing can be applied to unused alley space in order to create affordable living options in the built-up urban setting. Through this utilization of the ‘urban gap,’ the homeless population of any city can be given the chance to seamlessly integrate themselves into the existing urban condition.
